Steps in the translation process

Project specification
Establish volume and level, review materials, agree on quotation/contract, planning.

Project preparation
Linguistic preparation (preprocessing, glossary building), allocation of resources, product training.

Translation/proofreading
All translations are done by experienced, native-speaker, medical translators and are edited and proofread by editors with similar profile.

Testing
In case of software: all translations are recompiled and tested.
In case of online documentation: hyperlinks are checked.
In case of web sites: html files are tested for integrity.

Page formatting (DTP)
We use various DTP programs to generate the print-ready document.

QA of final output
Final document is carefully checked with original.

Customer review/validation
We can manage the validation/review process, which means that we deliver the translations directly to our customers' reviewers, receive their comments, insert possible changes and generate the final version. With larger projects, the validation cycle can be an integrated part of the translation process. Especially if reviewers reside in the target language country, our managing this step saves our customers a great deal of 'traffic' activities.

Finalize print-ready output
We provide output in many different formats, including PostScript, PDF, FrameMaker, PageMaker, film, paper.

Post-project evaluation
An hour spent evaluating a completed project may save weeks on the next project.
